#7 Red Sky – Centara Grand at Central World

This rooftop bar is located in Bangkok’s shopping district, on the 55th floor above CentralWorld Shopping Mall. There are uninterrupted views of the city, as far as the Golden Mount Temple (Wat Saket). The curved light above the main bar is hypnotic AF as it runs through the colours of the rainbow.

Try their passion fruit martinis and settle down on one of the many comfortable sofas that make this one of Bangkok’s best rooftop bars. It’s the perfect place to recover from the miles you’ll have walked whilst shopping. The food here is also wonderful, making Red Sky a great Bangkok rooftop restaurant for those who are into the high life… get it?

#8 Three Sixty – Millennium Hilton Bangkok

A popular hang-out for Bangkok's jet-set and cultivated travellers, this sophisticated jazz lounge does justice to its name with unrivalled 360-degree views. Drinks are moderately priced and there are demarcated smoking zones. Take the lift to the 32nd floor and watch in awe as the world goes by. Let the romantic mood and gentle jazz wash over you, while enjoying sensational views of the city.

#9 Cielo Sky Bar & Restaurant

This bar is one of the cheapest rooftop bars in Bangkok, even though it’s only a couple of stops on the Skytrain from some of Bangkok’s most popular nightlife spots. It has impressive 180-degree views, including the river and Sukhumvit Rd. It’s less formal than other bars and has a short glass walkway that gives you the feeling that you’re floating 46 floors above the ground. It has a decent selection of classic cocktails and beers but don’t expect anything too fancy. The view is definitely worth it and with prices like these, you can afford a couple more sundowners.

#10 Above 11

Designers of rooftop bars in Bangkok definitely have a thing for New York, although it’s not immediately obvious that Above 11 is based on Central Park. The garden theme is fun, as are the cocktails, which include a selection of Peruvian and Japanese drinks.

The view isn’t half bad either, towards Siam and Bangkok’s impressive shopping district. Unlike some rooftop bars, this is definitely a place you could spend the entire evening rather than just a sunset cocktail.
