#5 Flamenco

Following the success of Emquartier’s beach club rooftop bar Escape, the luxury shopping complex has welcomed another rooftop bar with a splash of Latino glam. Just opened in April 2019, Model Market on Sukhumvit Soi 53 is Bangkok’s first upcycling market, gathering some of the city’s well-known F&B names in the form of food trucks and pop-ups. Plastic straws, utensils and non-recyclable items are strictly prohibited from the venue—an eco-friendly outdoor space decked out in fairy lights, upcycled tables and chairs in a communal dining setting.

#7 O&B flagship

Popular Thai shoe brand O&B has opened its first official flagship at luxury mall The Emporium, featuring a bold gallery tunnel displaying all of O&B ballet flats in over 50 shades.

Currently, the 75-square-metre retail space exudes a feminine charm with pastel pink and floral designs, and the theme will change every three months to match the season.

#8 Bangkok 1899

Originally built in 1899, the former residence of Chaophraya Thammasakmontri, known as the Thailand’s father of modern education, has been transformed into the city’s newest cultural and civic club to promote art, design, urbanism and social innovation.
