Silom water fight can go ahead despite Bang Rak not organizing any special events

The head of the Bang Rak district in Bangkok has said that water fights can still take place in the Silom area during the Songkran festival between April 13th and 15th.

Phakkhaporn Sanguansak told TNN that Bang Rak will not be organizing anything or selling stuff as in previous years.

No reason was given in the TNN story.

They said that the Bangkok Metropolitan Organization would be coordinating with the police to ensure the safety of participants in the water wars in Silom.

Thaivisa notes that Songkran in the Silom Road area is always one of the main events in the capital.
