As with others, Samitivej also bills itself as “a leading provider of healthcare in Thailand and Southeast Asia”. It is, however, also a really good hospital with a very high standard. It’s not as fancy as Bumrungrad but still on the top end of hospitals, has lots of doctors and staff at side and covers all kinds of medical conditions. During the post WWII period, the American Presbyterian Mission and the Church of Christ in Thailand purchased a piece of land situated between Silom Road and Surawongse Road consisting of several wooden buildings.
